Firstly, I hate being called Robert. Rob will do. I'm a half Canadian half Italian Art Director with two full passports. Yes I'm that guy that sails by you in the customs line at the airport. If it makes you feel any better, the TSA don't like me any more than you do. I am also a Miami Ad School grad that has long since shed the ego that comes with being a Miami Ad School Grad.
I come with a strong background in social media and photography - and more random trivia than I can handle. Trivia such as: Why do astronauts have a piece of velcro in their helmet?* If you can answer that without Google, then I think we just became best friends. Do I have your attention yet?

*It's so they can scratch their nose.

Good designers know where to place things on the screen. Better designers know how they actually get there.

Being a weekend coder myself, I am more than comfortable creating websites from start to finish. Whether it's a simple one-pager, Wordpress or other CMS based system - I've already experimented and learned enough to know which questions to ask and solve problems before they become problems.
Good designers know where to place things on the screen. Better designers know how they actually get there. You never want to hire a coder that knows how to design. But you do want to hire a designer that knows how to code. That being said -
Hi, I'm Rob.

4/chan is a website, not a hacker. Rule 34 does exist. Buzzfeed and 9gag have done more damage to humanity than ISIS.

There. I said it. And I will continue to say it. I won't say that I'm passionate about the internet, because that would sound weird. But as Bane once said:
"You merely adopted the internet; I was born in it, moulded by it..."
I have a tendency to respond to emails with gifs, because one good facepalm gif says more than a thousand words. I also despise Buzzfeed so much that I applied for a job and negotiated a good salary just so I could tell them no.

Doing business without advertising is like winking at a girl in the dark. You know what you are doing, but nobody else does.

A wise man once said "The best way to get a good idea, is to get a lot of ideas." I like to think of ideas. I also enjoy all the challenges that come with a terrible brief. Because let's be honest - there are a lot of terrible briefs. The real challenge is turning it into something fun and captivating.
Not only for us in the industry, but for the consumer. Pulling our heads out of our asses can be good for business too. Or so I've been told.

The quickest way to make money at photography is to sell your camera.

Call me old fashioned, but I still get excited at the thought of mixing chemicals in the darkroom and developing my own film. And yes I still dream of owning a classic Hasselblad.
Having previously worked as a photographer and an assistant for many years I can say with confidence that Terry Richardson is highly overrated.

Rob was part of our original Urgent Genius team at iris Worldwide. He has the ability to get his head down and make stuff happen. He's switched on and is always up to date with the latest tech and trends. He works particularly well in a team. He demonstrated this when he helped Jon and I out at SXSWi to create some topical content for our Urgent Genius talk and all to a intense deadline

Rob was the 1st proper Urgent Genius I managed. He got excited about an idea. Taught himself how to code. Stayed up all night and launched a site. He's well-versed in Internet Culture, gets Reddit more than anyone I know and is a huge asset to agencies that understand the need to be always on and always on-trend.

You should write something funny as if I said it.
